Papa Seller's Birthday

Started out the morning really early with adventures & cookies for breakfast!

Then we all met over at the Lumberyard in Encinitas for Papa Sellers's Birthday! We went to St. Tropez Cafe; and I know we've been by there a million times.. but we haven't gone and ohhh my gosh it's so good! So we are adding this to the ever-lengthy list of places to eat when you come home haha

In love with my breakfast, no big deal.

Bridal boutique, so we had to go in!

Seriously amazing spice shop.. I learn so much from Mama Sellers ahaha

I'm buying us this right before we move because it's life altering good.

Doing our wet cold rainy laundry from this morning haha

Succulent prototype #1!!

Natcha's nap time apparently..

We facetimed Brandon (Natcha's fiance) so he could go out to eat dinner with us and not be lonely haha.

Chloe lovin!

Pineapple Express

The big storm that we have been having they have been referring to as The Pineapple Express. This is because it's a northern storm that has sucked in all the tropical air, and mixed which brings us this awesome storm.. and some crazy waves! So we went down to the Oceanside pier saturday morning to witness it at the only time it was predicted to not be raining, and the wave breaks peaking!

Golden hour glow

I've been practicing getting the mist off the top of the waves, a skill I'm sure I'll have plenty time to perfect in Hawaii haha ;D

So the sad part is that we were under the pier, and I was smart smart and on a taller rock! Noah on the other hand was a little lower.. at first I didn't realize how big this wave was. When I did I had said oh no really fast, but at that point it was too late. These last two are the ones I got before we had to evacuate because the swells were getting too large. Noah's camera didn't make it. =(
Well.. it's in a coma basically in a tub of rice hoping that it will dry out over the next week. The pictures turned out really cool, I just hope he doesn't have to buy a new camera because that would reeeaally suck! I felt bad, but I'm leaning towards the fact that after a full week it should be okay!! :D

Drenched..

Evacuated just in the nick of time! I would have soaked my camera too had I stayed one wave too many! I was nervous the rest of the day around the waves haha

WILDERNESS PHOTOGRAPHER: PELICAN
SO FUCKING STOKED.
(This picture was harder to get than it looks too! Movement is tricky.)

These last two are shots that I took, but Noah edited. I gave him my memory card to edit & play with since he kind of lost his to the water =/
He is learning photoshop and it's crazy what a difference in end product it makes! This first one is a color isolation for the Ruby's sign.

This last one.. I LOVE! When I bought my camera there were 2 things I really wanted to learn.
#1: Star trails
#2: Slow shutter water shots

I haven't had as much a chance to practice the slow shutter water shots, but this is another thing I know that I can master in Hawaii. The slow shutter brings out that milky look to the water where everything smooths & flows together. I took the shot and he did the color correction on it in photoshop to bring out all the little details. I'm soooo happy with this last picture, getting there!! Can't wait to get to Hawaii and really nail this technique! I hope you like it and that you're starting to see a difference in my photography! =)

Still loving the rainy days

Natcha had a grumpy morning..

Ohhrahrah.

This is what shopping for your care package looks like. It doesn't help when I'm hungry and I want to buy you yummy ERRYTHANG!

Us.

She said I was channeling a Katniss vibe, so this is my invisible bow and arrow. Thanks.
I LOVE YOU!

Rainy Friday!

Oh hey, I love you.

Today, I navigated the fucking Amazon river.

It just rained and rained and rained.

Natcha's and my afternoon snack, this makes me happy!

1950's Vintage Canadian wedding dress! Natcha's mom has a patient who gave her this dress and veil. Lee was so sweet and told Natcha to tell me I had to come over because she thought the dress was perfect for me haha. It reminds me a lot of Sandra Bullock's dress in The Proposal! I loved it and felt so pretty! I've been wanting to do a photo project in the Julian graveyard at night with the long exposure so I look ghostly.. and I think this is the perfect dress to do it in! I'm excited! :D

Still raining.

Most importantly: it's real.
