Ch. 1: South Fork Kings River

This is all that I brought, but believe it or not the back of this car was packed ALL THE WAY UP. Haha, it was a different kind of camping.. comfy camping lol.

Walking to our found spot! It wasn't really a camp site, but more of a rest stop that we turned into a super awesome campsite!! Out of all the camp grounds in both of the parks, only 3 total camp grounds were open. Everything else was closed up for the winter. We did see lots of other people who still camped in the closed grounds though. There were no rangers to hold anyone accountable so it was kind of a free for all. Literally, everything for free!!! :D

Still setting up

This river was actually a stop on our way up; but look! I'm getting better at that fancy water setting on my camera! =)

LILLY.

The river was absolutely beautiful. This was the view from our fire pit. The colors of all the trees were my favorite part, I wish you could have been there to see this in person.

Everything was so still and quiet! We hardly saw any animals, the ranger said they all either started to hibernate for winter or migrated down into the lower foothills.

David fly fishing, I can't believe he walked in the water still. It was so damn cold!!

He was pretty much in Cabela's heaven. He didn't catch any fishies, we saw lots though. Later he told us that he isn't a very good fisherman, but likes to practice to get better.

Too many fuzzy weeds!!

She looks so much like Bertie here!! But prettier and not crazy.

I love this river. It was post card pretty!!

This is your Dad's fb profile picture dream come true. It does look purty awesome.

Your Mom's and my awesome fire pit! I dug it out and then she collected flat rocks for the bottom to make it super heat up!

Log cabin/tee-pee wood style! Boom lit super easy! You have an awesome camper wife!

I tried to light it with flint first though.. that did not work.

Everyone else tried the flint too, but it was lame.

Lol, this was awesome. I was bending down to blow on the fire to stoke it and get it really hot; when for some reason your Dad bent down to smell it or look at it or something. He is yelling at me for singing his eyebrows and I'm laughing.

Yay!

Bundled up with his hatchet.

Cookin hot dawgs.

They're having so much fun!

Me cuddling Lilly, but my favorite part is Dillon bundled in the back left lol.

Dillon.
