Southwest Dreams Delivery

Soo after having only an hour of sleep, I show up to work at 8am and no one ever comes, so I fell asleep in the hall womp womp. It was pretty funny actually, everyone had a trade show the day before so they all stayed up in Los Angeles for the night, and your Mom had the flu, Aaron was running late so he told me I could go home and come back later.

I went back to Natcha's and started to color my feathers! I was pretty happy with them, idk if you remember when I tried feathers a long time ago, but they came out too thick and shitty. These I liked, I could still get better- but they will do for now.

Dusting and picking my palette is always my favorite part, it means everything is downhill from there!

Yup. I'm only sad because I'm tired haha, otherwise work is actually pretty fun. It still ended up being fun actually, I introduced Aaron to the world of crazy cakes and he was throughly impressed lol; he ended up telling me to just go home after an hour since he realized how much work I had to do for the cake! It was awesome, and it really did help a lot!

Since Aaron cut me some slack and I had a few extra hours, I could spend more time making the details pretty and not be so rushed, or so stressed! I love LOVE this gold! It's that 24k one that I covet like a mad woman for my special cakes only!  I was proud of myself on this one too for how clean I kept the gold hand painting, very slow and meticulous; but hey it works!

I adjusted the peony from how I normally make them, I really like it though! New style for me and I think I'm going to use these on Carly's cake as well. I added the gold accents per Noah's and Natcha's input and I think it really helped it to pop! Plus, I love my gold so the more I use it the happier I am. (Ps: I love how much the gold triangles in the back shine in the sunlight)

Also something awesome is that you know when I have my show cakes due to my crazy school weeks I'm always doing them at the last minute and basically go without food or sleep the whole time? Well Natcha and her mom kept me super well fed the whole time, so this is the first show cake that I've done where I didn't feel like puking and fainting all over the place once it was delivered lol! Usually your Mom helps me with cakes, and neither one of us eat or sleep haha; so I think since Natcha and Lee didn't know how to help me on the cake they just kept feeding me, I loved it. Weird Thai noodles, but it's really good- kale too! I'm really starting to like Thai food. =)

bff

She hws, and I cake. Getting close to being done.

En route!
Please note that awesome succulent and detail! First try even haha, I really enjoyed making it!

Whooo delivered!!!
Soooo happy with the way this one turned out. It's really understated and minimalist. Even after not caking for so long, you can see how straight I managed to get my edges! That tall mid tier was a bitch.. that took a couple tries, but I finally got it! Even my bottoms are perf.. no boarder needed. Boom bitch!

That dream catcher.. pretty proud of it. Took so many steps to complete.

My drop off outfit haha
